Best Places to Play Pickleball in Metro Atlanta

To say pickleball’s popularity has surged in recent years would be an understatement. People of all ages and varying athletic capabilities have flocked to the game for entertainment, exercise, and competition. Combining elements of table tennis, tennis, and badminton, pickleball is now the fastest growing sport in the nation.
If you’re interested in learning the game or you are looking for places to play, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best courts in and around Metro Atlanta. Happy playing!
Lifetime Fitness: Most Lifetime Fitness locations in the Metro Atlanta area have new indoor and outdoor pickleball courts ready for play! From lessons to league play, Lifetime Fitness is a great option for avid pickleball players who also utilize a gym membership.
Alpharetta: The city of Alpharetta has two parks with lighted pickleball courts. North Park has 12 courts, and Webb Bridge Park has 6 courts. All pickleball courts require a reservation. However, if you arrive at a court and no one is currently using it or has it scheduled, you are welcome to play until a permitted guest arrives.
Cumming: Forsyth County has three parks in Cumming with dedicated pickleball courts – Coal Mountain Park (6 courts), Lanierland Park (4 courts), and Sharon Springs Park (4 courts). You can reserve the courts here on the official parks website.
Johns Creek: While still under construction, Newtown Park is excited to add 6 brand new pickleball courts to the community. The project is expected to be completed by March 2024. Cauley Creek Park opened in the summer of 2023 and features 5 beautiful pickleball courts.
Sandy Springs: Ridgeview Park is one of the most popular places to play pickleball in Sandy Springs with 6 outdoor concrete courts and Hammond Park has an impressive 10 courts. And lastly, the Sandy Springs Racquet Center now has 8 courts and numerous options for lessons, leagues, and mixers.
Grimes Bridge Park in Roswell offers numerous pickleball courts, though there is a small fee to use them and reservations are required.
